Why it's cheaper as a client
As a Samera accounting client, Clever Practice effectively costs £175 a month rather than £375, and Lite is £75, not £100. That isn't a discount we're hoping you won't notice, and it isn't a promotional rate that expires.
It's cheaper because if you're already a Samera accounting client, we already hold your Xero file, your history and your relationship. Acquiring you costs us nothing, and onboarding takes days rather than weeks, because we already know your numbers.
A software company can't offer this, because it has no accounting business to bundle with. That's the whole reason the price exists. The standalone price is what it costs when we don't already know you. It's a real price, and clients pay it.
What you shouldn't buy
Trading under a year?
Start with Lite, or nothing yet. The full platform reads patterns in your history, and you don't have enough of it yet for it to earn its fee.
Want a dashboard and nothing else?
We're more than you need. There are cheaper analytics tools for that, and we're happy to point you at them.
Not on Dentally, SOE Exact or Xero?
Talk to us before you buy. We can often help, but not always, and we'll tell you which before you commit a penny.
Straight answers
Because we already hold your data and relationship, so there's nothing to set up and no one to acquire. Lite drops from £100 to £75, the full platform from £375 to £175 effective, and onboarding is waived. Switch the toggle at the top to see your prices.
The Clever Practice element (£175) is fixed. The Grow accounting element is a guide. Like any accounting fee it depends on your transaction volume and how complex your affairs are, so your figure may differ. We'll confirm it with you before you commit, and you'll see the exact number in writing. The same applies to Complete Group.
Lite is associate pay automation on its own. The full platform adds Performance (clinician performance, financial intelligence and the monthly AI insight) and Growth (revenue recovery and smart chair fill). Both are flat per location, so the only real choice is whether you want those extra modules.
You pay the plan fee once per practice location, no per-associate charge. You can mix plans: the full platform where you want everything, Lite associate pay elsewhere. Any group of more than four locations, we price with you directly.
Only when you buy the full platform on its own, without accounting. On any Samera accounting package it's waived, because we already hold your data. Lite has no onboarding fee.
You keep Clever Practice. It reverts to the standalone price (£375 full, £100 Lite) per location on 30 days' notice. Your data and setup stay intact either way.

You control everything as the Owner. You can give your Practice Manager the full working set, and your Accountant associate-pay access only, one of each. Your associates see their own pay through the Associate Hub, separately.
For most dental practices, no. Dental services are largely VAT-exempt. We quote ex-VAT for consistency with the market, but budget for the gross figure. On Samera Complete that's £990 a month.

Samera Complete and Complete Group show a guide price: the accounting element can vary with your transaction volume and the complexity of your affairs, while the Clever Practice element is fixed. We confirm your figure before you commit. Clever Practice and Samera's accounting services are separate agreements with separate terms; either can end without ending the other.
